In the original description (Drake & Hambleton, 1938) there is a photograph of the species as well as in Carpintero & Montemayor (2008) where it is also presented a key to identificate the Cantacaderinae from Argentina and Chile. In Froeschner (1996) there is summarized information regarding the genus and, a key for the recognition of the Phatnomatini genera. The species was recorded for the first time for Argentina by Carpintero & Montemayor (2008) for the provinces of Buenos Aires.
