Known from Brazil (Galvao et al. 2003, Ceccarelli et al. 2018).
Old records of this species from Argentina were considered as doubtful by Lent & Wygodzinsky (1979), and later this was confirmed by Galvao et al. (2003).

Specimens of this species live under rocks and in the interstices of stone walls, frequently together with Triatoma rubrovaria (Lent & Wygodzinsky 1979).
