According to Carpintero & Carvalho 1993, the type specimen is deposited at the Canadian National Collection.
It was collected in Chanchamayo on avocado and Schizolobium amazonicum where it is very abundant in the bark and it feeds on the splits of the stems (Arellano & Vergara 2016).
