The species is illustrated in Hurd (1945). There is a key to determine some of the species of Corythaica , among them C. monacha , in Gibson (1919) and in Hurd (1945); and of the Corythaica from Argentina in Ajmat (2000) and in Montemayor & Melo (2012). In En Montemayor & Melo (2010) the identity of C. monacha is discuss as well as the characters that distinguished it from C. passiflorae . The distribution of this species has been considered wider than what its actually is as other species such as C. passiflorae have been erroneously identified as C. monacha (Montemayor & Melo, 2012). Currently the known distribution of the species is the one referred in Bosq (1937), Drake (1936) y Montemayor & Melo (2012).
Abutilon grandifolium, Gaya sp., Gossypium, Lycopersicum esculentum, Pavonia hastata, Richardia brasiliensis, Sida argentina, Sida cordifolia, Sida rhombifolia, Sida ulmifolia, Sida glomerata.
