  • Coleopterodes liliputiana brunnea Drake & Poor, 1938
The species was reported from Argentina in the original description (Drake & Poor, 1938). Scanning electron micrographs of the species are presented in Montemayor & Coscarón (2005) and the main differences beween the two species that constitute the genus are discuss, in Guidoti et al. (2014) there is also a photograph of the species. The morphology of Coleopterodes brunnea is very peculiar among the tingids because it is adapted to an underground existence. The species feeds from the roots of their host plant Baccharis pingraea .
