This illustrated catalog of the katydids of Argentina and Uruguay is still in progress. Most of the species known to be present are included, except for a few newly recorded or undescribed species of which currently no photos of live individuals are available. The description of the new species is in progress too. Some old and doubtful records have been discarded or are under investigation. Observations from our own fieldwork as well as distribution data from biodiversity information platforms (iNaturalist/ArgentiNat, EcoRegistros) are being added constantly. So far little is known of most species, but we are working on providing brief information related to identification and ecology.
