Kuzmanich et al. (2015) reported galls on the leaves of S. longifolia (Lindl.) Speg. from Argentina (Buenos Aires) which they attributed to T. sordida. This record is doubtful and may concern another, related species (Burckhardt & Queiroz 2017)
