Male Holotype deposited at California Academy of Sciences (Carvalho 1985). Male and female paratypes deposited at California Academy of Sciences and Museo de Historia Natural y Antropologia de Rio de Janeiro (Carvalho 1985).
According to Forero (2009) the specimens from Argentina and Bolivia may be another species of Chileria.
