Poppius described the species from Argentina, but the specific locality is never mentioned. According to Carvalho & Costa 1988 the female Holotyoe is deposited at Finnish Museum of Natural History, University of Helsinki (Finland). Carpintero & Carvalho 1992 in their list of the Argentinian Miridae, are not sure that this species actually be in the country.
