Male Holotype, Female Allotype and some Paratypes deposited at Museo de Historia Natural y Antropologia de Rio de Janeiro (Carvalho 1948). Other Paratypes deposited at Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Carvalho 1948).
According to Schuh & Schwartz (1988) the record from Suriname of Carvalho & Rosas (1965) and the record from Peru and Mexico of Carvalho & Afonso (1977) could be a misidentification.
