Material studied by Stål is deposited at Swedish Museum of Natural History (Stål 1860) and it has been identified as type.
This species feeds on Duponchelia fovealis (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) on Fragaria × ananassa (Rosaceae) (Nogueira et al 2019). It has been also observed preying on Heliothrips haemorrhoidalis (de Souza et al 2019) and eggs, larvae and pupae of Tuta absoluta in South America (Ferracini et al 2018).
