Also known from Brazil (Carvalho & Schaffner 1977), Ecuador (Carvalho & Schaffner 1977) and Peru (Arellano & Vergara 2016).
 
Holotype and Allotype deposited at the Museo de Historia Natural y Antropologia de Rio de Janeiro (Carvalho & Schaffner 1977). Paratypes deposited at the Museo de Historia Natural y Antropologia de Rio de Janeiro, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, British Museum of Natural History and the California Academy of Sciences (Carvalho & Schaffner 1977).
Collected in Perú from May to December on pineapple trees and coffee trees, also on the grass between papaya trees, coffee trees and citrus trees (Arellano & Vergara 2016).
