  • Macrolophus aureus (Distant, 1893)
Material studied by Stål is deposited at Swedish Museum of Natural History (Stål 1860) and has been identified as type.
In Brazil, this species has been found to prey on Tuta absoluta eggs and larvae in tobacco crops (Bueno et al. 2013) and on Solanum lycopersicum (Nogueira et al 2019). It may be a promising candidate for biological control of this pest (Bueno et al. 2013).
