Only known from Argentina (Lent & Wygodzinsky 1979, Ceccarelli et al. 2018).

Triatoma limai is obviously closely related to Triatoma circummaculata, from which, however, it is separated by a considerable
geographical gap and slight but constant structural and chromatic characters (Lent & Wygodzinsky 1979).

This species is found under rocks on the ground, and is believed to feed on wild rodents (Lent & Wygodzinsky 1979).
