Observations
The type of the species is illustrated in Champion (1898); Silva (1956) and Drake & Cobben (1960) also illustrate the species. Harley & Kassulke (1974) published observations related to the life history and hosts plants of the species, in this study both the adult as well as the fifth nynph are ilustrated.

Jacaranda paucifoliata; Lantana camara; Machaerium oblongifolium v. subgrabrum.
