There is an illustration of the type in Champion (1988), Gibson (1918) presents a key for some of the species of Corythucha , among them C. fuscomaculata . Ajmat (1991) also illustrates the species and provides a key for the identification of the species of Corythucha from Argentina. Montemayor (2009) compares the species of Corythucha from South America. The references to the known distribution in Argentina are Kormilev (1955) and Ajmat (1991).
